Morning Class
Our first class was with Janis Note of Noteworthy Needle.   Janis instructed us how to drill foam pumpkins!  It always amazes me when a teacher comes up with something so totally new.

As with all projects, we learned that pattern placement was the most important and difficult part.

Janis brought a lot of samplers and we all enjoyed learning to drill the foam pumpkins!

For the afternoon, we had a class with Beth Seal of Summer House Stitche Workes.   Pre-stitch was required for Crowning Glory.

We assembled the pin cushion and covered the box and lid with coordinating paper.

We also made a coordinating scissors fob.

Sunday dawned with another class from Janis Note.    The Sunday class was Turn-Turn-Turn.   See Janis' demo on FB  https://www.facebook.com/noteworthyneedle/videos/1538845222886321/

Both teachers brought a trunk show for the meeting and we all were thrilled to shop.

Upcoming -
November - We will have our regular meeting on Saturday, November 9th meeting.   For those who signed up, we will taught by Janice Note of Noteworthy Needle how to drill a foam pumpkin from an assortment of patterns.   Once drilled, we will be able to cross stitch the pumpkins once drilled!

In the afternoon, is a class with Beth Seal called Crowning Glory.  Pre-registration and pre-stitching a must.  On Sunday, a third class.   Sunday's class is with Janice.   She will teach the assembly of Turn-Turn-Turn.

Each class requires pre-registration - which is now closed.

December - Annual Holiday Luncheon and Exchange.   The Guild will provide wraps and bottled water.   Members should bring a covered dish of either a salad or dessert type.   There is no sign up.   We seem to always have a good variety.   Please bring your own drink to the luncheon.

Robin shared an idea.   She took her Christmas Cross Stitch magazines to Staples and had them bound.   The cost was $5.15

Look how nicely they open and live flat.

Program - A lesson in bullion knows.

Patrick shared doodle clothes, milliner's needles and floss for everyone.    He walked us through perfecting not only bullion knots but also french and colonial knots.    Patrick even included little known 'sound effects' that help you complete the knots perfectly.

From bottom up, each bullion knot got better.

Knots made easy by Patrick!  Thank you for the lesson.
