January 2025 Meeting

Our President called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone.   She requested we have a moment of silence out of respect for the residents of California dealing with the destructive fires.

A new member attending for the first time shared her stitchy story with us.

Minutes from the last meeting had been distributed prior to the meeting.   Treasurer’s Report was shared.

Membership for 2025 is due.  If 2025 dues are not received by the March Meeting, your name will come off the distribution list for DVHSG communications.

President Eve asked for volunteers for the Nominating Committee and received three.   Mary Rita M, Marnie B, and Sally N volunteered to serve.

Our Guild Challenge for 2025 will be a UFO Challenge.    Those who want to participate should select any 5 projects.   They can be new projects or WIP’s.   Number the projects 1 to 5.  Starting at the February 2025 meeting a number will be called each month.   The coinciding number of your project should be your ‘focus’ piece for that month.   It is a good way to get some work done on an old project.
