December 2019 Meeting

Business Meeting

  • Guests to our December Meeting were introduced.   We hope they return and become members.
  • Dues - Dues is due for 2020 at the January Meeting.   Renewing members do not need to fill out a form.  New members are requested to complete the member form so we can gather contact information.  Also, if paying in cash, please make sure to HAND the money directly to Nancy F. so she can accurately record your payment.
  • Conservation Fund - Ann shared the recipients and amounts given for the conservation awards for 2019.
  • 19 in 19 - Patrick passed the binder to record members completions for the month.   He will have rewards for the top finishers at the January Meeting.
  • Upcoming Meetings
    • **There are some upcoming meetings that will be held in different rooms or even at different locations.   Please be sure to make sure you read your meeting reminder email from Caryl C. each month.
    • January - Share any stitching related Christmas gifts.   Two members will be showcased.
    • February - Cindy Steinhoff, author, with speak on Quaker samplers.  THIS MEETING MAY be held at a different location.   Watch for updates.
    • March - Theresa Baird will teach the spiral trellis stitch
    • April - Betsy Morgan Class - Christmas Etui.   More information and sign-ups will follow.
    • May - 20th Anniversary Celebration - more details to follow.  This will be a two day event with lectures, Saturday afternoon class, Sunday class and more.
    • June - LOCATION TBD and program to be announced
    • July - tentative Christmas in July
    • August - Stash Reallocation Meeting
    • September - LOCATION TBD  
    • For either June or September since we have no room at Cokesbury for the meeting we may consider a field trip to a local site of needlework interest.   More information will follow once availability at site(s) it determined.
Holiday Exchange
We all enjoyed great food and a visual feast of all the beautiful smalls that were exchanged.   Thank you Michele A. for coordinating the exchange.
